Moldovan Foreign Ministry warns of the danger of traveling to Lebanon and Middle Eastern countries

Due to the deterioration of the security situation in Lebanon, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova, with its residence in Ankara, issued several recommendations for Moldovan citizens staying in Lebanon or planning to travel to this country.

The warning is related to the aggravation of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon. In this regard, authorities asked citizens to avoid traveling to the southern regions of Lebanon because of the high risk of terrorist acts. Authorities already advised citizens in these areas to leave immediately.

Always carry original documents for traveling.

Be especially cautious near Palestinian refugee camps where the situation can be unpredictable.
Strictly follow the instructions and recommendations of local authorities and security forces.
Do not participate in demonstrations and protests.
