The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched the eConsulat platform, letting citizens abroad access consular services online. The platform is available in select missions, including Ukraine, Canada, Greece, Cyprus, the UAE, Spain, Romania, Turkey, and the USA.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi highlighted the convenience of the service:
“After submitting a request, citizens can track the status of their application in real time. The eConsulat platform allows for easier, faster, and more secure access to consular services. Many procedures can now be requested online, eliminating unnecessary trips to embassies or consulates. If a physical visit is required, appointments can be scheduled in advance, saving time and effort.”
