The European Union, through the EUPM Moldova Mission, donated TETRA communication equipment worth over €276,000 to the Police of the Republic of Moldova.
“These new TETRA systems—including four consoles and portable stations—significantly enhance officers’ ability to maintain continuous and secure communication between different operational units. This advanced technology enables quick emergency response and provides constant support for daily patrol, investigation, and prevention work,” the National Police stated in a press release.
During the event, participants discussed the project’s progress, “Strengthening the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Crisis Response through the Use of TETRA Stations.” They also examined the current communication infrastructure and proposed ways to improve and expand the national use of these systems to meet the evolving challenges of public safety.
