Moldovans with Romanian citizenship can travel to Thailand without a visa

People with Romanian citizenship can travel to Thailand without a visa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania announced it on July 15.

“The decision of the Thai authorities is the result of the sustained efforts of the MFA, including through the Romanian Embassy in Bangkok, aimed at facilitating the process of visa waiver for Romanian citizens traveling to this country for tourism purposes,” reads the information note issued by the Romanian MFA.

This new rule for Romanian tourists is part of an attempt by the Thai authorities to revitalize their tourism.

Until July 15, the list included only 57 countries whose citizens did not need a visa. Since Monday, authorities have added 36 more.
