The General Assembly of Prosecutors will take place online on March 20, starting at 10:00, according to statements by Dumitru Obada, president of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP).
Obada said the law requires the Prosecutor General Office to present its annual report by March 31, and the online format will help meet this deadline.
“The law requires us to present the annual report of the Prosecutor Office by March 31. To comply with this deadline, we propose holding the General Assembly of Prosecutors online,” Obada said.
He explained that the online format is justified because the agenda does not include issues with major impact that would require physical presence.
“There are no matters that require physical presence, so we consider it appropriate to organize the General Assembly online,” the CSP president said.
Obada also announced that the CSP will contract a specialized company to organize electronic voting.
“We will use a company with experience in conducting online voting, which will ensure the security and integrity of the voting process,” he said.
The agenda of the March 20 General Assembly includes the presentation of the Prosecutor General report for 2025, the outline of the Prosecutor Office priorities for 2026, and the activity report of the Superior Council of Prosecutors for 2025.
Obada added that the decision to convene the Assembly, the agenda, the related materials, and instructions for using the online voting platform will be published in advance to ensure that all prosecutors are properly informed.
The previous General Assembly of Prosecutors took place on February 11, 2025, when the Superior Council of Prosecutors convened prosecutors from across Moldova to hear the activity reports of the Prosecutor Office and the CSP for 2024.
