Parliament has approved in the second reading amendments to Moldova’s state social insurance budget for 2026.
According to the draft prepared by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, both revenues and expenditures of the state social insurance budget will increase by 1.37 billion lei this year, exceeding 52.82 billion lei.
The additional funding will also increase allocations for the protection of people with disabilities and older people, as well as support for families and children and unemployment benefits.
The amendments will enter into force on the date they are published in the Official Gazette.
