Movie “Turcoaica” Continues Screening in Chisinau and Expands to Moldovan Cities in May

The story of young villager Oleg, who fulfills his Moldovan dream, deeply moves audiences, leaving them inspired as they exit theaters. The new Moldovan film “Turcoaica”, released on April 10th, was produced by BessarabKino and BizSamurai Production. Producer Pavel Sidorenko notes that this is the first Moldovan film released simultaneously in two versions—Russian and Romanian.

Starting May 2nd, screenings will take place in partnership with Koala Cinema 3D in six cities:

  • Leova – Friday, May 2, 6:00 PM
  • SĂ®ngerei – Friday, May 2, 6:00 PM
  • Cupcini – Saturday, May 3, 3:00 PM
  • EdineČ› – Saturday, May 3, 7:00 PM
  • Comrat – Sunday, May 4, 6:00 PM
  • Soroca – Sunday, May 4, 6:00 PM

The grand premiere took place on March 31st at Moldova’s largest mall, Port Mall, supported by socially responsible brands such as Daac-Hermes (with car brand Geely), Mezellini, Lactis, Carlevana Wine, Orhei Vit, Dulcinella, CaffItaly, and Aquatrade (with OM water). Before the screening, guests enjoyed a special show program, which also served as a teaser for two upcoming films set to begin production this year.

The sports film “Stepa and Massachusetts” was promoted with demonstrations by:

  • JKA Traditional Karate Moldova Federation
  • Kendo Moldova Federation, whose president Vitalie Oncea wore traditional samurai armor—creating synergy with the name BizSamurai Production
  • Goju Ryu Moldova Federation, led by president Victor Panasiuc, showcasing the ancient martial art White Crane Fist
  • Anatolie Kung Fu from Dao Anhor, demonstrating the Dao sword style

The psychological business thriller “Leviathan’s Dance” was previewed with performances by:

  • SkyDance Studio, directed by Alexandra AndrieČ™ (who also performed a memorable dance with a python to music from “From Dusk Till Dawn”)
  • My Way Studio, led by Cristina Barseghian

The show concluded with fighters from Viking Agency storming the stage and “abducting” producer Pavel Sidorenko and “Turcanca” writer Yakov Gribinenko, much to the audience’s surprise.

The premiere also featured performances by singer Emilia Russu, a duet by Adrian Ursu and Vladimir Fotescu, and a Turkish melody played on the ney by Maestro Constantin Moscowici, whose music is featured in the film.

  • Anatolie Golea, founder of Port Mall
  • Ivan Čšurcan, Managing Partner of international law firm Crow Moldova

Finally, guests headed to Happy Cinema on the 4th floor and the GoodPoint beer bar to watch the film—marking the world’s first premiere of its kind.
