Russia’s Ambassador, Oleg Ozerov, complains that Moldovan authorities are banning diplomatic mail. He says these measures would jeopardize citizens’ ability to obtain requested documents.
Ozerov has urged Russian citizens in Moldova who feel underserved by the embassy to appeal directly to our authorities. His remarks come amid ongoing delays in document issuance.
“Border Police actions at Chisinau Airport have disrupted diplomatic mail delivery. Many Moldovan and Russian citizens contact us because the document issuance process has faced delays. The Border Police are banning our diplomatic mail, which naturally causes disruptions and delays in the issuance of documents. (…) We want to tell everyone who files complaints with the Russian embassy to forward them to the Republic of Moldova authorities,” Ozerov said.
