New Guide for Returning Moldovan Citizens Launched by the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora

The Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora (BRD) has launched a Guide to support the return to the Republic of Moldova, intended for Moldovan citizens planning to return home and those already returned from abroad. The guide aims to provide the necessary information for a successful return and reintegration.

“In the guide, you will find information on renewing documents, repatriation of assets, equivalence of studies, accessing medical and social services, as well as opportunities for starting and developing businesses,” the guide launched by BRD said.

The document provides information on state services, employment opportunities, vocational training, career guidance, accessing state funds for starting a business, advisory services in business management, and profitable ways to use savings.

In addition, the guide describes economic opportunities. It provides important information about services that ensure the social integration of the returnee and people’s family: services for (re)integration of children in educational institutions and opportunities for employment in the social and health insurance system.

The information in the guide is general, and for specific cases, it includes addresses, contact numbers, and useful links to resources and specialized institutions that can provide the necessary assistance. We hope the information presented is useful and provides an overview of the steps to follow and services available to facilitate (re)integration into society.

The material has been developed by the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora of the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland within the Project “Support to the governance of diaspora, migration, and development through the improvement of the policy and institutional framework” of the Program “Harnessing the potential of migration in the Republic of Moldova,” phase III.
