As of August 1, Israel will update its entry rules for citizens of visa-exempt countries, including those from the Republic of Moldova.

Israel is introducing the ETA-IL system to pre-screen and approve the entry and stay of foreigners. From July 1 to August 1, the system will operate in test mode, and from August 1, it will begin functioning as an institutional pre-check system for foreigners wishing to visit Israel.

Israeli authorities announced that as of August 1, 2024, citizens of foreign countries with visa-free travel will need prior approval through the ETA-IL system to enter Israel. Foreigners who applied through this system during the pilot period in July will receive approval for two years.
