Thirteen-year-old Moldovan wrestler Nichita Fornea won the bronze medal at the International Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Zagreb, Croatia.
Fornea reached the podium in the up to 52 kilogram weight category, achieving a strong result at the international tournament.
In the U-17 junior competitions, Alex Nastas finished fifth in the up to 60 kilogram category. Moldova also fielded Andrei Sochirca in the up to 55 kilogram division and Maxim Revenco in the up to 65 kilogram division, with both athletes competing in their respective weight classes.
