The Republic of Moldova officially joins sanctions imposed by the United States against Russian entities and individuals. The decision was approved on November 22 by the Inter-Institutional Oversight Council, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and published in the Official Monitor on November 26, 2024.
Therefore, authorities will freeze funds held by persons under sanctions. Additionally, Moldovan authorities will prevent these individuals from entering, staying in, or transiting through the Republic of Moldova.
The Official Gazette published a list targeting Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselev, former Shor accountant Nelli Parutenko, the Russian media holding Russia Today, TV Novosti, and the Evrazia organizations.

In addition to the sanctions against Russia, the Moldovan authorities will also implement other restrictive measures against entities in Sudan, Lebanon, Chechnya, Niger and other regions.
