Viorel Bostan, rector of the Technical University of Moldova, and Mihai Sava signed a Memorandum of Understanding launching a strategic partnership aimed at the professional development of young people interested in logistics and transport.
The Moldo-American Logistics and Transport Association and the Technical University of Moldova thus laid the foundation for closer cooperation designed to help transform academic training into successful careers in the logistics sector.
The agreement, valid for five years, establishes a framework for cooperation between academia and the business sector. Under the partnership, students from the Technical University of Moldova will have the opportunity to take part in internships, training sessions, and practical activities organized with the support of AMALT and its member companies.
Rector Viorel Bostan emphasized the importance of the memorandum, noting that the partnership is essential for modernizing the educational process and providing students with real career opportunities in a sector vital to the national economy.
Through this initiative, the parties aim to train well-prepared specialists capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving industry. The cooperation will focus on the exchange of expertise, the involvement of industry professionals in the teaching process, and the support of relevant academic programs.
The signing of the document represents an important step in strengthening cooperation between the university and the business environment, aligning university-acquired skills with the real needs of the labor market.
AMALT also reaffirmed its commitment to investing in education and supporting excellence in Moldova’s logistics sector. Similar memorandums had previously been signed with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and the Moldova State University, and students from the Technical University of Moldova will now also be regularly informed about opportunities and development programs in this field.
