Our Party lawmaker Constantin Cuiumju has submitted two parliamentary inquiries requesting official information on the criminal case related to state-owned air navigation company MoldATSA and the reported repayment of approximately 500,000 lei to the company.
The first inquiry was addressed to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and concerns the status of the investigation into MoldATSA. Cuiumju requested details about the procedural status of the individuals involved and asked whether the issues reported publicly, including those related to former MoldATSA director Dumitru Vangheli and Anastasia Taburceanu, are being investigated within the same criminal case.
“I request information on the status of the MoldATSA case, the procedural status of the persons concerned, and whether the issues that appeared in the public space, including those related to former director Dumitru Vangheli and Anastasia Taburceanu, are being investigated within the same criminal file,” Cuiumju said.
The second inquiry was addressed to MoldATSA’s management and concerns the reported repayment of around 500,000 lei by Anastasia Taburceanu. The lawmaker requested explanations regarding the legal and accounting basis for accepting the money and how the transaction was recorded.
“If this repayment was publicly confirmed, citizens have the right to know on the basis of which legal and accounting documents these funds were accepted and how the operation was recorded,” the Our Party MP said.
Cuiumju said his actions aim to obtain official answers, documents, and a complete clarification of the situation.
“I am not asking for interpretations or speculation. I am requesting official answers, documents, and transparency,” he stated.
The lawmaker argued that transparency must be a standard when public funds and state institutions are involved.
“In a state governed by the rule of law, the truth should not be hidden. When public money and state institutions are concerned, citizens have the right to know all the facts,” Cuiumju concluded.
