Parliament Passes Bill to Align Moldovan Law with the EU Regulation on Mutual Recognition of Goods

Parliament voted in the second reading to pass a bill that aligns national legislation with the EU Regulation on mutual recognition of goods legally sold in member states.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization initiated the bill. It will facilitate the free movement of products between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.

Under the new provisions, national authorities will recognize declarations and permit goods to enter the domestic market freely, unless there are justified public interest reasons for imposing restrictions or limitations. The law applies to both industrial and agricultural products.
