According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu will visit the United States from 2 to 9 December.
During the visit, Grosu will meet with U.S. senators, congressmen, and other supporters of Moldova. He also will talk with USAID Administrator Samantha Power and North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall. The agenda includes discussions with experts from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the International Republican Institute (IRI).
As is tradition, the speaker will meet with members of the Moldovan Diaspora. These meetings will include discussions with Moldovans living, working, or studying in the U.S. and engagements with representatives of the Moldovan business community. Grosu will also visit a Romanian-language school in Chicago.
Moldova and the United States have maintained a strong strategic partnership for over 30 years.
