Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu met with Dominique Waag, the new Ambassador of France to Moldova. They discussed the strong cooperation between Moldova and France and explored ways to further enhance this partnership. The parliament’s communication and public relations department reported it.

“In the last five years, we have succeeded in building a strong partnership, including at the parliamentary level, and we intend to maintain this momentum,” Grosu emphasized.

Grosu also highlighted the priorities on the parliament’s agenda, assuring that authorities will work to sustain progress.

“The recent elections underscored our need for even greater support in combating corruption and organized crime, and we are counting on essential expertise here,” he added.

He expressed gratitude for France’s support for Moldova in recent years, particularly in European integration and modernization projects across economic, energy, infrastructure, and defense sectors. One notable example is the new 25 million euro agreement under the Moldova Partnership Platform to support Moldova’s transition to green energy by financing the state budget.

“It is important for us to know we have dependable friends with whom we can work for the benefit and well-being of our people,” Grosu concluded.
