The parliamentary commission for economy, budget, and finance will propose Dumitru Alaiba as a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM). The commission head, Radu Marian, announced it.
According to Marian, Alaiba brings extensive professional experience in economic and financial affairs. He previously served as Minister of Economy, participated in the Financial Stability Committee, and held key legislative roles as a Member of Parliament, later serving as chair of the Economy and Finance Committee. He also served as an advisor to the Prime Minister.
The Supervisory Board of the NBM is responsible for overseeing the central bank’s operations and ensuring transparency, integrity, and good governance within the institution.
