A parliamentary delegation will join the meeting of the heads of the Conference of Parliamentary Bodies Specialized in EU Affairs (COSAC) on July 28-29 at the Hungarian National Assembly in Budapest.
MPs Ina Coseru, chairwoman of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration, and Radu Marian, chairwoman of the Commission for Economy, Budget, and Finance, will represent the Moldovan parliament at the meeting.
At the event’s opening, Istvan Jakab, vice president of the Hungarian National Assembly, will deliver a welcome message to the participants. The first session will present the program and priorities of Hungary’s EU Council presidency. The second panel will be devoted to the current stage of the European Union’s enlargement policy in the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe, on which topic European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhely will speak.

Within the framework of the meeting, MPs Ina Kosheru and Radu Marian will hold bilateral discussions with officials and colleagues from the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, the Senate of the French Republic, the Croatian Parliament, the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Bundesrat of Austria.
COSAC is a forum established in 1989 for cooperation, exchange of information, and best practices between the national parliaments of the Member States of the European Union and the European Parliament.
The Heads of the Conference hold meetings every six months.
