Several changes are expected in Moldova’s parliamentary committees following a series of resignations by MPs from the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PAS).
Marcel Spatari is set to become chairman of the Economy, Budget and Finance Committee.
Adrian Băluțel will be appointed chairman of the European Integration Committee and will also become a member of Parliament’s Permanent Bureau after Victoria Belous resigned as an MP to take up the position of Minister of Finance.
Băluțel’s position as deputy chairman of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee will be taken over by PAS MP Ion Groza. The secretary position previously held by Groza will be assumed by Roman Roșca.
Further changes are expected in the Agriculture and Food Industry Committee following the resignation of Alexandr Trubca.
Iurie Levinschi will become deputy chairman of the committee, while his previous position as secretary will be taken over by Valeriu Robu. Newly elected MP Victor Mătrăgună will also join the committee as a member.
