Workers of the Municipal Enterprise “Association for Green Space Management” carried out four interventions on June 2 after heavy rainfall knocked down several trees in Chisinau.
Authorities repeatedly urged citizens to stay cautious, avoid parking under trees or advertising billboards, and limit non-urgent travel.
Meteorologists issued a yellow code for heavy rainfall across the entire country for June 2. They expect accumulated precipitation of 15–45 liters per square meter. In isolated areas, thunderstorms and wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s will accompany the rain.
