The first athletes representing the Republic of Moldova at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo will compete today, February 10. The race is scheduled for 14:30 Chisinau time and will take place at the Anterselva Biathlon Arena, one of the most prestigious biathlon venues on the international circuit.
Biathletes Maxim Macarov and Pavel Magazeev will take part in the men’s 20 km individual biathlon event, one of the most demanding disciplines, which tests both physical endurance and shooting accuracy. The two Moldovan athletes will compete against approximately 100 participants from around the world, according to the Ministry of Education and Research.
