The Capital might introduce parking subscriptions. Drivers will be able to park their vehicles in three designated zones: the city center with streets in high demand for parking, other locations and neighborhoods with many vehicles, and street sections that don’t fall into the first two categories.
An hour of parking will cost between 5 and 20 lei with a subscription. The weekly subscription will be priced between 280 and 560 lei, and the monthly fee will range from 1,200 to 2,400 lei.
If drivers choose a three-month subscription, they will pay between 3,700 and 7,200 lei. The six-month fee will range from 7,200 to 14,400 lei, while the annual subscription will cost between 14,400 and 28,800 lei.

Local authorities will implement an electronic parking management system to track payments made by drivers and institutions. Legal entities that reserve parking spaces will make annual payments.
Drivers cannot transfer parking subscriptions to third parties. These subscriptions will include the serial number, issue date, vehicle registration number, and payment type. In total, tickets will be sold for up to 70% of the available public parking space.
People with disabilities and vehicles serving commercial points will be able to use public parking areas for free. These vehicles can park for up to 30 minutes within 20 meters of a store or pharmacy.
If drivers park without authorization, authorities may clamp their car wheels, requiring the driver to pay for the release. This decision is currently open for public consultation.
