Today, July 24, President Maia Sandu awarded the “Order of Honor” to Graham Paul, the Ambassador of the French Republic, as he completed his term in the Republic of Moldova.
“The ‘Order of Honor’ is awarded to Mr. Paul Graham, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Moldova, in recognition of his significant contributions to deepening the political-diplomatic dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the French Republic, strengthening bilateral relations of friendship and good cooperation, and consistently supporting our country’s European path,” states the decree.
Maia Sandu highlighted that France is one of Moldova’s best and most reliable friends and thanked the ambassador for his significant contributions to Moldova’s European path, for supporting the implementation of key reforms, and for strengthening the resilience of our country.
“President Maia Sandu welcomed the initiation of the ‘European Political Community’ (EPC), an important discussion platform that contributes to stability and security in Europe. She also noted the valuable support from French partners in organizing the second edition of the EPC in the Republic of Moldova,” stated the report issued by the Presidency.

She appreciated Graham Paul’s efforts during a period in which political, economic, and cultural relations have considerably progressed. She emphasized the increased high-level dialogue with France and the importance of Francophonie in strengthening the friendship between the two nations.
