The military of the 20th contingent of the National Army, involved in the KFOR peacekeeping operation, completed its mission in Kosovo. Today, August 6, a ceremony awarded medals and diplomas to the peacekeepers.

Defense Minister Anatol Nosatii attended the event and praised the work and professionalism demonstrated in carrying out their tasks. He expressed confidence that the experience gained during the six-month mission would benefit their future activities.

“Your achievements, and those of your colleagues from previous contingents, prove that we have well-trained, dedicated, and responsible servicemen capable of performing their missions at the highest level. Thus, through the National Army’s impeccably executed missions in international operations, Moldova demonstrates that it is a reliable partner and security provider for the international community,” Anatolie Nosatii said.

It is worth mentioning that, for the first time, four female servicemen participated in this KFOR-20 contingent.

The 20th contingent of the National Army, which included engineers, infantrymen, and one staff officer, served in Kosovo from January to August this year.
