Greco-Roman wrestler Vadim Tarelunga won the bronze medal at the World Championship for athletes under 17 years old, currently taking place in Athens, Greece. Representing Moldova, he secured third place by defeating Iranian athlete Banyamin Neamatollah Khezli in the 45 kg weight category.
During the competition, Vadim Tarelunga beat Indian wrestler Yash Kashinath Kamanna in the first round and Bulgarian wrestler Danimir Iordanov in the repechage round.
