Former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vladimir Plahotniuc, will return to Moldova on September 25, his lawyer Lucian Rogac announced.
“Based on the latest information my colleagues in Greece received from the Greek authorities, I inform you that the extradition process will take place on 25.09.2025. I decided to make this clarification after several media outlets contacted me for updates on the procedure.
We again call on the authorities in Chisinau not to turn Vlad Plahotniuc’s extradition into a public show trial and to fully respect the legal provisions in force,” Rogac stated.

The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that it resumed the extradition procedure after the Greek authorities canceled their earlier decision to suspend the process.
