The Athens Court of Appeal has approved Vlad Plahotniuc’s extradition from Greece to Moldova, lawyer Lucian Rogac announced. He added that the Ministries of Justice of both countries will now coordinate the technical and logistical steps required for the extradition.
“After reviewing the case documents and receiving Mr. Plahotniuc’s consent to be extradited, the judges ruled in favor of his transfer. The Ministries of Justice of Greece and Moldova will now manage the necessary procedures for his return,” Rogac stated.
The lawyer emphasized that this decision is a natural and expected step in Plahotniuc’s return to Moldova, where he plans to defend himself in court and respond to the legal cases filed against him.
