“Posta Moldovei” launches the “Summer Olympic Games” stamp series

On July 26, the day of the official opening of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, “Posta Moldovei” will release a series of postage stamps titled “Summer Olympic Games: Paris 2024.”

The series includes two postage stamps and an envelope:

• “Archery” stamp (face value: 5.20 lei);
• “Women’s freestyle wrestling” stamp (face value: 12 lei).
• “By issuing these postage stamps, we want to commemorate important moments and great achievements of Moldova in the world of sports, as well as to preserve the memory of this sporting event and athletes,” “Posta Moldovei,” representatives said.

Recall that 26 athletes will represent Moldova at these Olympic Games, competing in 10 sports: archery, athletics, canoeing, judo, swimming, wrestling, shooting, weightlifting, table tennis, and equestrian sports.
