President Maia Sandu held a new round of consultations on the organization of a referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
The head of state talked to the Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of 28 districts. She urged them to support and promote the country’s European path, emphasizing that European integration will benefit all communities, regardless of their political preferences.
During the meeting, the head of state discussed the development projects for the regions financed by the European Union. The President answered all the questions from local elected representatives about development, the European integration process, and the referendum scheduled for October 20.
The consultations with representatives of various groups, sectors, and communities will continue to ensure that the public is widely informed about the autumn plebiscite.
