President Maia Sandu Invites Citizens to Sovereignty March on June 23, 2025

President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova invites all citizens to join the Sovereignty March on Monday, June 23, 2025, to mark the 35th anniversary of the Declaration of Sovereignty. The march celebrates Moldova’s first major victory in its struggle for national rebirth and liberation.

In her message, President Sandu highlighted that on June 23, 1990, Moldovans affirmed that the people’s will is supreme and expressed their desire to live in a free Moldova.

“I invite you to the Sovereignty March to honor the courage of our ancestors and our shared aspiration to live freely and with dignity in Moldova,” she said.

Participants should gather at 7:00 p.m. by the monument to Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici on Alexei Mateevici Street in Chisinau.
