On Thursday, July 18, President Maia Sandu will attend the European Political Community Summit in the United Kingdom, hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
During the summit, the head of state will meet with several European presidents and prime ministers to discuss topics such as peace and security in our country, economic development, and European integration. The summit’s agenda includes working groups on democracy defense, migration, energy, and connectivity.
President Sandu will also co-chair a working group with French President Emmanuel Macron, involving leaders from multiple countries and international organizations, focusing on democracy defense.
The European Political Community serves as a key platform for discussions among European countries on peace and security on the continent, as well as other common issues. Moldova hosted the second summit of the European Political Community on June 1, 2023.

Following this, on Friday, July 19, Maia Sandu will travel to Dublin, where she will meet with Irish President Michael Daniel Higgins and Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris. She will also meet with Moldovan communities established in Ireland during her visit.
