President Maia Sandu will pay working visits to Poland and Italy next week, where she will hold official meetings and engage with Moldovan communities abroad.
On Tuesday, July 8, President Sandu will travel to Warsaw for meetings with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Discussions will focus on Poland’s support for Moldova’s EU accession and the deepening of bilateral cooperation in economic and security fields.
At the invitation of Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, President Sandu will also deliver a speech at the annual Conference of Polish ambassadors, where she will present Moldova’s progress on its European path.

Later that evening, at 6:00 PM, the head of state will meet with Moldovans living in Poland.
From July 9 to 13, President Sandu will visit Italy. Her agenda includes a meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella to discuss Moldovan–Italian relations and ways to support the Moldovan diaspora in Italy.
While in Rome, she will attend the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, hosted by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
President Sandu will also meet with Moldovan citizens in several Italian cities. The schedule is as follows:
- Friday, July 11, at 6:00 PM – Florence
- Saturday, July 12, at 11:00 AM – Modena
- Saturday, July 12, at 5:00 PM – Vicenza
- Sunday, July 13, at 10:00 AM – Treviso and Mestre-Venezia
These visits underscore Moldova’s deepening ties with EU partners and the President’s ongoing commitment to strengthening connections with Moldovans abroad.
