Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized the importance of the business environment as the government’s most crucial partner in promoting citizens’ well-being at the Moldova-European Union Investments Forum, part of Moldova Business Week 2024. The government’s communication department reported the event.
The Prime Minister emphasized the ongoing reforms in the business sector and reinforced the government’s commitment to address investors’ needs promptly. “Digitalization is not just about moving processes from paper to digital; it’s about re-engineering business processes in Moldova,” said Recean.
“It is in our best interest to support you as much as possible to bring positive change here in Moldova. I encourage you to invest in Moldova—we have talent and innovation. We seek long-term capital to maximize these resources,” the Prime Minister added.

Discussions at the Moldova-European Union Investments Forum focused on the business community’s role in Moldova’s European integration, available financing to scale businesses, renewable energy development, and fostering a sustainable economy.
The European Business Association (EBA) organized the forum, part of Moldova Business Week 2024, which runs from September 16-20. For the first time, the event is taking place in four key regions—Chisinau, Edinet, Ungheni, and Balti—bringing together over 1,000 business leaders, investors, and experts to explore Moldova’s economic potential.
