Prime Minister Recean’s Local Visits Strengthen Dialogue and Deliver Results

Prime Minister Dorin Recean’s visits to localities across the Republic of Moldova have strengthened dialogue between central and local authorities and formalized communication based on shared values. Government spokesperson Daniel Voda, who has attended over 200 discussions between the prime minister and mayors, emphasized that this direct engagement contributes to Moldova’s development, progress that can be seen in every locality.

According to Voda, these in-person meetings focus on local challenges, practical solutions, and the efficient use of resources.

“In these conversations, the real Moldova comes to light—discussions focus on water supply networks, sidewalks, sewage systems, digitalization, renovated kindergartens, and well-equipped hospitals,” Voda explained. “We talk about how to make European funds and state budget allocations better use. And most importantly: how to do more, better, and faster.”

Voda highlighted the constructive tone of these meetings, noting the absence of violent rhetoric or personal attacks. Each participant is listened to respectfully, regardless of political affiliation.

“You know what I’ve never heard in these discussions? Impolite language, personal insults, or empty accusations,” he said. “Everyone speaks on behalf of a community with real concerns.”

Voda concluded that the prime minister’s direct communication with local representatives has proven its value through concrete, measurable results.

He also stressed that dialogue between national leaders and local administrators should become the norm, stating that public discussion must go beyond TV studios and social media.

Today, Prime Minister Recean is on a working visit to the Hincesti district, meeting with local public officials and representatives of decentralized public services.
