A delegation from the Lithuanian Seimas interparliamentary relations group will visit the Moldovan legislature from 30 January to 1 February.
“During their time in parliament, Lithuanian MPs will meet with several key figures including Igor Grosu, the head of the legislative body Doina Herman, the president of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration Radu Marian, the chairman of the Commission for Economy, Budget and Finance, and Aleksandr Trubka, the chairman of the Commission for Agriculture and Food Industry. The delegation members will also meet with Ion Babich, the chairman of the parliamentary friendship group with the Republic of Lithuania,” the Parliament reports.

The visit program includes meetings with Moldovan President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
“Lithuanian Members of Parliament will also meet with the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. The discussions will touch upon such topical subjects as Moldova’s reform program, Moldova’s European path, and opportunities for boosting Moldovan-Lithuanian relations in various key areas,” was reported in a press release.
The Interparliamentary Relations Group of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania will also visit Cahul and Soroca where will engage in a dialogue with local farmers.
