Registrations Open for the 13th Edition of the DOR Program for Diaspora Youth

The Diaspora Relations Bureau has opened registrations for the 13th edition of the governmental program DOR (Diaspora Origin Return), aimed at children and young people from the diaspora and Moldova. This year, the program will be in two series: August 4-13 and August 16-25, 2025.

During the ten-day program, participants will explore the Republic of Moldova and enhance their Romanian language skills through cultural, educational, and sports activities.

Participation is free, and all expenses are covered by the state budget except transportation costs to and from Moldova. Registration will be open from March 24 to April 27, 2025, and the application process differs for diaspora participants and those from Moldova.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be between 12 and 17 years old.
  • Those from the diaspora must have a basic knowledge of Romanian.
  • Priority will be given to participants who have not previously participated in the program.

To apply, candidates must complete an online form and submit it with a file to dor@gov.md.

The DOR program, under the patronage of the Government of Moldova, aims to strengthen the emotional, cultural, and identity bonds of young people from the diaspora with their country of origin.
