Romania provides 11.8 million Romanian lei for the restoration of the Moldovan Ministry of Culture, an architectural monument of national importance

On Wednesday, October 2, the Bucharest government approved granting 11.8 million Romanian lei to restore the Moldovan Ministry of Culture, an architectural and historical monument of national importance.

The building stands at 35 Mitropolit Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni Street in Chisinau.

“The government has approved 11.8 million lei in support for the restoration of the monument of architecture and history of national importance in Chisinau municipality, on Mitropolit Gavrilit Gavril Bănulescu Bodoni street. Perhaps for those in Romania, the information has no impact. However, those in Chisinau know well that the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova is headquartered there and will undergo renovation. Therefore, almost 50% of the total budget will come from the Romanian Government,” said Mihai Constantin, spokesman for the Bucharest Executive.
