On Monday, June 23, and Tuesday, June 24, a delegation from the Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia will conduct a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.
President of the Committee, Bojan Kekec, leads the delegation.
At Parliament, Slovenian officials will meet with Speaker Igor Grosu. They have also scheduled discussions with Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman; Chair of the Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee, Ina Coseru; Chair of the National Security, Defense, and Public Order Committee, Lilian Carp; Chair of the Moldova-Slovenia Friendship Group, Mariana Cusnir; and Deputy Chair of the Public Administration and Regional Development Committee, Petru Frunze. The visit’s agenda includes further talks with Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov; Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development and Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea; and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi.

The delegation will also visit the wastewater treatment plant in the city of Causeni, which has undergone extensive modernization over the past two years. As a result, residents now benefit from access to a modernized sewerage and water treatment system.
“The discussions during these meetings will focus on strengthening bilateral relations—particularly parliamentary cooperation—as well as regional development in the Republic of Moldova, project implementation, and examples of best practices. Other topics will address security challenges, cooperation between the Republic of Moldova, the European Union, and neighboring states, as well as the strengthening of democracy, the organization of parliamentary elections, and the EU enlargement process,” stated the press release issued by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
