On March 27, the Monumentum Association will inaugurate a statue of Queen Mary in the center of Chisinau, commemorating the 107th anniversary of Bessarabia’s Union with Romania.
The monument, placed in the square of Gheorghe Asachi Lyceum, will be unveiled during a solemn ceremony attended by officials from both banks of the Prut River, diplomats, and Church representatives.
Queen Mary, known for her crucial role in Romania’s unification and European recognition after World War I, remains a symbol of national identity and historical continuity.
