Former President and leader of the Socialist Party, Igor Dodon, publicly condemned the war in Ukraine during an appearance on RLIVE TV. However, he also stressed the need for dialogue between Chisinau and Moscow.
“I condemn the war in Ukraine, but we must engage in discussions with all parties—wherever our national interest lies,” Dodon said during the “Rezoomat” talk show.
He cited French President Emmanuel Macron’s past talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin as an example of pragmatic diplomacy, arguing that Moldova should pursue similar engagement.
