Students from Moldovan agricultural faculties benefit from a course on the EU Common Agricultural Policy

The Faculty of Agricultural, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) is hosting an introductory course on the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy and European food safety standards from November 4 to 8. This course targets students from the Faculties of Agricultural, Forestry and Environmental Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine, aiming to familiarize them with the European standards essential for a safe food chain.

During the five-day program, participants will explore the Common Agricultural Policy, its significance for sustainable agriculture, and the European food safety requirements and procedures relevant to all stages of the food chain. They will also learn about measures to protect consumers and ensure product compliance.

At the course opening, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) highlighted the importance of thorough training in this field. “Agriculture and veterinary medicine are professions dedicated to those who love the land and animals. Today’s students will become tomorrow’s specialists, capable of contributing effectively to agricultural businesses and supporting the development of this sector in our country.
