Peter Hultqvist, Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Swedish Parliament, visited Chisinau on 2–3 June for a series of high-level meetings focused on strengthening Moldovan–Swedish cooperation.
Hultqvist met with Lilian Carp, Chairman of Moldova’s Parliamentary Committee for National Security, Defense and Public Order, along with MPs Oazu Nantoi and Ion Spac. The discussions emphasized boosting interparliamentary collaboration and Sweden’s ongoing support for Moldova’s sectoral reforms and development programs.
The officials also addressed the Transnistrian conflict settlement process.

During his visit, the Swedish official held talks with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatii, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valeriu Mija, and Stanislav Secrieru, presidential adviser on defense and national security.
