The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova has warned citizens of the Republic of Moldova that Ben Gurion Airport will remain closed at least until April 16, 2026, following a decision by Israeli authorities amid the regional security situation.

In this context, authorities advise citizens to postpone planned trips until after this date, avoid participating in pilgrimages during this period, and closely follow official updates from competent institutions.

Against the backdrop of the upcoming Easter holidays and the traditional pilgrimage for the Holy Fire, officials stress that travel to Israel is currently directly affected by flight restrictions. Organizing trips during this period involves significant risks and a high degree of uncertainty, as restrictions may be extended or changed without prior notice.

Authorities also emphasize that the situation remains volatile and may evolve rapidly. Citizens are encouraged to monitor updates on the official pages of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moldovan Embassy in Israel.
