Ten Moldovan farmers have invested more than $17.3 million in modern technologies, animal welfare, and environmental protection after securing grants through the “Investments for Governance, Growth and Resilience in Agriculture” (AGGRI) project, financed by the World Bank. Of the total amount, $7.8 million came as non-refundable funding.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the recipients used the funds to bring the livestock sector closer to European standards. They built and modernized cattle farms, constructed manure pits that meet environmental regulations, and purchased high-yield cattle breeds.
The ministry also confirmed that three more farmers will soon receive financial support for additional projects worth $5.26 million. AGGRI will cover $2.09 million of that amount through grants.
