The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) has advised Moldovan international road transport operators to avoid crossing the border between Belarus and Kazakhstan, following Lithuania’s decision to extend the suspension of traffic at border checkpoints with Belarus.

“According to the decisions adopted by Lithuanian authorities during the Government meeting on October 29, 2025, the suspension of traffic through the border crossing points between the two countries has been extended until November 30, 2025, with the possibility of further extension,” the ANTA announced.

Lithuania justified the measure on national security grounds, citing incidents caused by meteorological balloons detected along the border.

The ANTA urges international transport operators to consider this situation when planning their routes.
