Romanian Chief of Defense Staff Vlad Gheorghita is on an official visit to Chisinau at the invitation of Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii.
During the dialogue, the officials discussed bilateral cooperation in the military field, prospects for modernizing the National Army, participation in peacekeeping operations with an international mandate, and the regional security situation.
“General Vlad Gheorghita reiterated Romania’s firm commitment to strengthening Moldova’s defense potential, deepening the dialogue on the military dimension through new projects and initiatives aimed at modernizing the National Army, increasing the level of interaction between the armed forces of both defense structures through joint participation in exercises and missions, as well as enhancing the national resilience to hybrid threats,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Romanian delegation also held working meetings with specialists of the National Army’s General Staff units.
The visit of the official Romanian delegation to Chisinau will take place from June 25 to 27.
