Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Roman Rosca said the Government is closely monitoring gas deliveries on the left bank of the Dniester.

“The EU assistance is valid, but residents on the left bank must meet the conditions set to support them. It is crucial for people there to align with national standards so they are not used as an instrument of blackmail. Currently, factory workers are staying home,” Rosca said on Wednesday, October 8.

He also noted that Tiraspol shows no willingness to comply with national standards.

Power outages have returned in the Transnistrian region and the Security Zone. Authorities on the left bank announced a gas-saving regime for about a week and a half due to “unfavorable external circumstances.”

Earlier this year, in January–February 2025, several localities in the Security Zone faced a similar energy crisis caused by restrictions imposed by Transnistrian authorities.
