During his working visit to India, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi participated today in the official inauguration ceremony of Moldova’s Embassy in New Delhi.
India’s Minister of External Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, attended the event. The unveiling of the official embassy plaque marked a significant milestone in Moldova-India relations.
“I am honored to attend the official inauguration of Moldova’s Embassy in New Delhi. This event represents a crucial step in strengthening bilateral relations between our countries and opens new opportunities for cooperation and strategic dialogue,” Mihai Popsoi stated in his speech.

In his remarks, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar highlighted the significance of this moment, saying, “This reflects the joint commitment we have nurtured since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992. Moldova’s Ambassador to India, Ana Taban, emphasized the key achievements of cooperation between the two countries and underscored the importance of diplomacy in delivering tangible results for citizens’ benefit.
The ceremony brought together Indian officials, representatives of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, heads of diplomatic missions, and business leaders.
