On Old Style Christmas, marked on January 7, European and American diplomats in Chișinău sent messages of congratulations to Moldovans celebrating the Nativity of Christ, wishing them peace, inner calm, and joyful moments with loved ones.
In its message, the Delegation of the European Union stated: “On the occasion of Old Style Christmas, the team of the EU Delegation extends its warmest wishes for health, warmth, and joy. May the light of this holiday bring peace to your hearts and fulfillment. We wish you blessed holidays and a New Year full of achievements.”
The Embassy of the United States of America in Chișinău also conveyed its greetings to those celebrating today. “Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating today! We wish you and your families holidays filled with joy and peace,” the representatives of the U.S. Embassy said.
At the same time, the U.S. Embassy announced that it will be closed on January 7 and 8 in observance of the holiday.
